We Love Our Work
The team members of College Help Squad are here because we found our calling — helping students and families with the journey to college. We’re all extremely passionate about what we do, and invest a lot of time, energy, and emotion into each and every one of our students. We struggle with them as they struggle through the applications and essays, we agonize with them when they have to make their choice as to which college to attend, and we celebrate all their victories and accomplishments as they progress from high school into their best-fit college.
We’re a Small Squad…and Proud of It
Where some college planning and counseling companies pride themselves on being large, we’ve learned that bigger isn’t better. When you work with College Help Squad, your student’s College Planner is a co-founder, and their College Counselor is a co-founder. Your student won’t be passed around to whomever the “on-call” planner or counselor is that day — they will work closely with a small team of people who will get to know the student and their family, and know what is best to advise and how best to help.
Parents: We Get It, Because We’re Parents Too
The College Help Squad team members all have children who have gone through or are going through the college planning and counseling process. We understand the stress, the ups and downs, and anxiety this process can put on a family.
Your student’s College Planner, Cynthia, has a son who just graduated college and a daughter who is a high school senior — and thanks to the hard work of Karrie the College Counselor, and Arlene the Essay Coach, she is proud to be a University of Oregon freshman this fall.
(Go Ducks!)
We’re College Planning & Counseling First and Foremost
With some college planning and counseling companies, they are in actuality a financial planning company that just uses college as a way to get new clients — they offer college planning and counseling, but their primary purpose and revenue is getting families into whatever financial product is best for their profit margin.
Our primary purpose is, and always will be, getting students into their best-fit college. We will never push financial planning or financial products onto families, ever.
