Right now, American colleges are surrounded with uncertainty, and high school students looking at where to apply have to be more diligent and thorough in their college search than ever before. Students have to question if classes or programs offered might be cut.

(NPR) With uncertainties around federal funding for higher education, some schools are cutting back. Experts say that could hurt not only students and faculty, but ultimately make the U.S. less competitive.

Students and their families need the insight from a college counselor who has knowledge and experience, but also access to information on the financial and operational health of colleges, and can assess the probability of classes and programs a college lists and promotes being safe from cuts, or not.
